Windsor police have issued an online alert asking drivers to avoid Huron Church Road this weekend due to a heavy presence of slow moving trucks.
Access to the Ambassador Bridge is not being blocked, but drivers may encounter difficulties traveling on Huron Church as truck drivers are again staging a similar protest locally as taking place in other communities across Ontario in relation to concerns about vaccine mandates.
“My understanding is nobody blocking people going to the US, but there is a heavy presence of trucks in the area,” said a spokesman for Windsor police.
Drivers are being cautioned to avoid the area until Monday.
