Rising River: Steve Driscoll’s new exhibition at the Peter Robertson Gallery is, as he puts it, “in essence, a loss of control. It’s about succumbing to the power of the current and the resulting helplessness that surrounds it. “Sounds familiar to you in recent years? But it also means it literally. With paintings and digital printing on low iron laminated glass, framed in boxes aluminum LED lights that look beautiful in the dark, Driscoll’s latest abstract impressionist landscape display feels decidedly modern like Blade Runner, but it also packs a bit of that danger. To get the pictures he later painted, he built little rafts. with GoPro cameras and sent them down otherwise inaccessible waterways, a truly unique perspective. Driscoll, it must be said, always goes the extra mile.

Whether or not you know Japanese sheet music, they are beautiful, including the music from Evangelion, Naruto, Attack on Titan and, yes! – Death Note. The dim candlelight completes the atmosphere, this sounds quite surprising.
