Three people face 26 charges after a traffic stop in Saskatoon

SASKATOON –

Three people face a total of 26 charges after the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) conducted a traffic stop over the holidays Thursday.

The SPS Traffic Unit stopped a Dodge Journey at 7:30 p.m. for a traffic stop at 33rd St. and Avenue I N., a press release said.

While looking for signs of deterioration, officers found a sawed-off firearm on the floor of the passenger seat.

Police searched the truck and found ammunition and bear spray.

The car was seized and the three people were arrested.

Two men, ages 36 and 19, and a 32-year-old woman, face a total of 26 charges, including possession of weapons.
