Colin Penner, 27, is also facing one count of first-degree murder while 24-year-old Jyostna Reddy has been charged with accessory to murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Vidal was killed inside a garage in southwest Edmonton about 9 pm on April 12. An autopsy later showed he had been shot multiple times.
Police identified a suspected vehicle early in the investigation.
