Three men arrested for drug possession

Windsor police have filed numerous drug charges against three men following a traffic stop Thursday.

Officers stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of Howard Avenue around 4:30 p.m. after a patrol officer noticed that the vehicle’s license plates were reported stolen.

Three men were arrested without incident for possession of property obtained by crime.

A further investigation resulted in the seizure of 20.8 grams of fentanyl, 26.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, currency, and a switchblade, found in the vehicle.

The defendants are Giuseppe Dimaio, 38, Tyrone Handsor, 50, and Robert Patterson, 36, all of Windsor, with two counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count each of possession of property obtained for the crime of less than $ 5,000 and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Additionally, Handsor is charged with five counts of possessing a weapon while prohibited and not complying with the release order and Patterson is charged with failing to comply with the release order.
