They release two women from the Army kidnapped by the CJNG in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco


Members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) released two women members of the Army who were kidnapped this morning, confirmed the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena).

In a statement, the agency reported that at 4:20 p.m. this Thursday, both women were released alive and in good health near the “Plaza Fluvial” Shopping Center in Vallarta Port.

Elements of the Mexican Army and Air Force; National Guard; Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection; Marine Secretary; National Anti-kidnapping Coordination; National Intelligence Center; The Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Organized Crime Matters, and the Criminal Investigation Agency, were devoted to intelligence and search tasks.

According to the investigations of the authorities, the two members of the Army were kidnapped by members of the criminal cell headed by Juan Carlos Valencia González alias “El 03”, one of the main leaders of the CJNGand son of the leader of that cartel, Rubén Oseguera Cervantes “El Mencho”.

Around 12:30 a.m. this Thursday, April 28, the two female active members of the Sedena were kidnapped in Vallarta Portwhere they were on vacation.

The kidnapping would have been ordered by Juan Carlos Valencia González in retaliation for the arrest of Saúl Alejandro Rincón Godoy alias “Chopa” on April 22, and as a means of pressuring the authorities to release Rosalinda González, mother of “El 30 ” and husband of alias “Mencho”, who was arrested on November 15, 2021 in Zapopan, Jalisco, and is being held in the Coatlán del Río prison, Morelos.
