In the south of the state, in San Juan del Río, Xentral is being developed, a private investment project that consists of building a new model of a central supply, in which it is expected to invest 1,350 million pesos at the end of its five stages and to use in that span to 7,000 people.

In this context, the first stone of the second stage of the plant was laid, in which 113 wineries will be built, which will be added to the 111 that are already built.

The aim is to make it the best supply center in Mexico and Latin America, explained Xentral CEO Lauro Martínez Leal.

The objective is to cement 576 wineries at the conclusion of the five stages: in the first phase the 111 already established, in the second the 113 projected, in the next 136, continuing with 96 and ending with 114 more, according to the master plan.

Xentral is located on Federal Highway 57, at kilometer 167, between the towns of La Estancia and Loma Linda, it includes all the essential turns of a supply station.

Its facilities are at the foot of the road, one of the busiest roads in the country, in order to turn it into a commercial link for the Bajío.

The location stands out for its logistical benefits. It is intended to be a sales space for both local and regional producers and merchants, visualizing that this new marketing center is an element of competitiveness to participate in the Mexican and Latin American markets.

The bases of the project propose that it be consolidated as a source of businesses where producers, merchants and consumers converge, who seek to have a presence in the main points of sale and thus expand their business.

During the laying of the first stone of the second stage of Xentral, Governor Mauricio Kuri González urged the Private Initiative (IP) to invest in the state, and highlighted that it is a relevant logistics center due to its geographical location and proximity to important centers. populational.

During his speech, he stressed that the participation of the IP contributes to accelerating the recovery of all productive sectors.

“It is up to us as a government to give them the conditions so that the investment can come here and that they do well,” he declared.

Through this project an important alternative is generated for buyers in the area and surroundings of the entity.

Xental is projected to be a benchmark for the Bajío region, highlighted the municipal president of San Juan del Río, Roberto Cabrera Valencia, referring to the fact that the location is strategic, in addition to having a large potential consumer market.

The Secretary of Sustainable Development of the state, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, highlighted that this investment project contributes significantly to the tertiary sector, which represents 55.7% of the state’s GDP; in addition to supporting the placement of the primary sector.
