The state Secretary of Labor, Federico Rojas Veloquio, accompanied by the president of the State Congress, deputy of the PRIIvonne Álvarez García, and the president magistrate of the Superior Court of Justice of Nuevo León, Arturo Salinas Garza, presented the bill to implement the new State Labor Conciliation Center.

With this, the requirements stipulated for the implementation of the Labor Reform were met, highlighting that Nuevo León is ready for its implementation on May 3.

“We are presenting the initiative of the Law of the new Conciliation Center, as well as the division of the justice system, from the creation of the new center, where the conciliation is in charge of the State Executive and the arbitration of the Power of attorneywhich is why we have come to present this body that will replace the Local Conciliation and Arbitration Board and that will be in charge of resolving (labor) controversies via conciliation,” Rojas Veloquio said.

With this initiative, the organization and management criteria are established, as well as the Organic Law of the new Center, he pointed out.

In turn, the presiding magistrate of the TSJNLArturo Salinas stressed that the state is ready to start this process for implementation in a timely manner.

“Nuevo León will be the only state, in this last round, that is in time and form, the legal date we had to implement this change is May 3, the other states are requesting an extension to leave until October, in the case of Nuevo León will not be like that, the Executive power, the State Congress and the Judiciary are ready to start”, emphasized Salinas Garza.

In a subsequent phase, it is expected that the local Congress will approve the initiative for the creation of the new Center for Labor Conciliation, and once it is approved, the Organic Law of the new labor courts must be certified by the State Congress and assign the start date to formally start the process.

The president of the local Congress, Ivonne Álvarez, stated: “Our commitment is to finish everything, in this legislative period, so that everything that concerns us is ready in May and thus issue the corresponding declaration by the State Congress so that start the new labor justice in Nuevo León”.
