They control the outbreak of fire in the Pemex Refinery, in Cadereyta, Nuevo León

Monterrey, NL. On the afternoon of this Friday, November 12, an outbreak of fire was reported in the cooling tower of the Petróleos Mexicanos Refinery (Pemex), Héctor R. Lara Sosa, in Cadereyta, Nuevo Leon.

The incident occurred on the road to Reynosa, at kilometer 35.36, where the refinery is located.

Pemex reported that plastic material was consumed, no people were injured and the fire was controlled by internal brigades.

According to information from Reuters, a source indicated that the fire occurred in an engine of the Refinery’s cooling tower, with a processing capacity of 275,000 barrels per day (bpd).

Pemex indicated that operations continue normally without affecting the plant.
