Kristina Daul, 42, who worked for Waukesha County Health and Human Services, is charged with a crime of exploiting a client, Fox News reports.

The sexual relationship allegedly lasted from December 2020 until last summer.

The patient had been receiving treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. She told detectives that she and Daul would engage in sex acts in the therapist’s office, frequently hanging a “do not disturb” sign on the door.

Eventually the sex moved into their respective homes.

According to the criminal complaint, a witness who was a friend of the victim for five years told police that he was concerned that the therapist was “tampering” with the woman’s medications.

Finally, the patient told the witness about the matter and said her treatments were switched when she and Daul were “fighting or not getting along.”

Additionally, he told police that he learned about “protected health information” from 20 to 30 of the therapist’s other clients. Sometimes, he said, the couple had sex while Daul gave therapy sessions over the phone.

Cops say Daul once wrote about the relationship: “He chose LOVE over ethics, which was wrong for me.” Daul filed a temporary restraining order against the patient in August 2021, writing that the woman was an ex-girlfriend who had cost Daul his job.

On her Instagram page, Daul describes herself as “Pangender / pansexual / demisexual, spiritual, trusting intuition, generous, compassionate, motivated, independent, loyal, and trustworthy #NDE #faithoverfear.”
