Thematic bonds, 25% of debt issues in the BMV

José-Oriol Bosch, CEO of the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), assured that the demand for green, social, sustainable (ASG) and sustainability-linked bonds is increasing.

“The number will continue to grow because the interest of issuers in this type of product, as well as investors, is increasing,” he said.

During a conference on the issue of bonds linked to the sustainability of Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte, for 4,000 million pesos, the manager reiterated that the results prove it, since approximately 25% of the total amount placed in the long-term debt market term, so far this year, corresponds to bonds under the ESG label or linked to sustainability.

In the stock market center directed by José-Oriol Bosch, long-term debt issues amounted to 20,984 million pesos during the first quarter of the year.
