The United States increases Mexico’s sugar export limit by 150,000 short tons

The government of USA on Tuesday increased the export limit of sugar from Mexico in 150,000 short tons, following a request from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), according to an official document from the Commerce Department.

The document says that the USDA “has identified a need for additional supply of sugar in the US market“The additional volume has to be exported no later than March 31, 2022, the document says.
