The SAT reminds that there will be no penalties

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) recalled that there will be no penalties for young people who do not register in the Federal Taxpayers Registry (RFC) as long as they do not generate their own income.

“The incorporation to the RFC and, the joint obtaining of the e. Signature, does not imply that they are obliged to pay contributions or to present declarations, unless they already carry out some economic activity,” said the organization.

As of 2022, young people (or any other person) will be required to register for the SAT, as established in the Tax Miscellany 2022.

At the time, the head of the SAT, Raquel Buenrostro, commented that this measure seeks to protect young people from the billing companies, since they discovered that they steal their identity to integrate them into payroll or use their names to simulate acts of verification .

The SAT clarified that this transition will take “a certain time”, therefore in that period there will be no penalties, no fines, or sanctions.
