The Repsol crude oil spilled into the Peruvian Sea was double that was reported

Lima.- The amount of crude oil spilled into the sea in Peru during an incident by the Repsol company was double what has been reported so far, almost 12,000 barrels instead of 6,000, the Peruvian Minister of Environmental Affairs said, Rubén Ramírez, said.

“So far we have a figure of 11,900 barrels” that was dumped into the sea on January 15, Ramírez said at a press conference hours after Peruvian justice banned four directors of Spanish oil company Repsol from entering the country for 18 months to leave while investigations into the spill continue.
