The QR Code Will Be The Only COVID-19 Vaccine Test Accepted In Alberta Starting Monday | The Canadian News

Beginning Monday, Albertans hoping to enter businesses that have implemented the COVID-19 Restriction Waiver Program, or Alberta’s Vaccine Passport, you need to have the QR code provided by the provincial government.

This means that proof of the vaccine received at the time of vaccination or saved from MyHealthRecords will no longer be accepted.

“Alberta’s most secure and scannable QR code vaccine registry makes it easy for Albertans to safely participate in daily activities,” said Health Minister Jason Copping.

Companies that have implemented the vaccine passport can use the AB COVID Records Verifier app to confirm QR codes. The application can now scan codes provided by other provinces and territories.
