The Police have arrested a seventh person as an alleged co-author of the murder of Samuel Luiz, the 24-year-old man beaten to death in A Coruña at the cry of “fag”. The latter implicated, located about two months later than the rest of his cronies, is about an adult man arrested this Tuesday around 3:00 p.m., as confirmed by police sources to EL ESPAÑOL.
With his arrest, there are already seven people arrested linked to the crime. Three of them, Kaio Amaral, Diego Montaña and Alejandro Freire -alias Yumba- are in prison accused of a crime of murder or murder. The only girl, Katerine Silva, was provisionally released with the obligation to appear before the judge, while the two minors have been referred to the juvenile court.
The only one who agreed to testify before the Court of Instruction Number 1 of A Coruña was Kaio Amaral, who is also attributed a crime of misappropriation for taking the deceased’s mobile. Assisted by his lawyer, the same one who defended Chicle – Diana Quer’s murderer – Kaio has denied any participation in the beating, unloading responsibility on his two male companions. Despite everything, he remains in prison and could face sentences of up to 25 years.
Of all the people who witnessed the fatal beating of Samuel and testified before the judge and the police, thirteen identified Diego Mountain – “the most violent of the murderers” – as a participant in the beating, while only six pointed out Yumba. However, investigators found traces of their DNA both in broken glass collected on the boardwalk and on the forehead and face of the victim.
