A total of 491 people took part in the largest workshop for making the famous slime, under the watchful eye of an official Guinness World Records judge.

The event, which took place at the Montreal Science Center from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., was hosted by Yannick Bergeron, chemist and creator of the experiments for “Les Débrouillards” magazine.

During this lesson, participants were able to learn what a chemical reaction is, understand why slime is slimy and discover all the ingredients needed to make it.

“Several criteria were necessary to achieve the record, including the duration of the lesson (note: 90 minutes), the number of people present, and [qu’elles] do not leave the room,” explained Étienne Collins, spokesperson for the Montreal Science Center, to the QMI Agency.

“We worked hard. We were very rigorous to get there, ”he added.

Alongside this Guinness record, the Montreal Science Center is hosting the “The science behind world records” exhibition, to discover all the secrets behind each feat and listen to testimonials from winners.
