Prince Albert, Sask., RCMP is investigating an incident in which a man was allegedly shot multiple times at different Muskoday First Nation locations over the course of several hours.

Prince Albert RCMP received a report on December 4 around 3:30 pm that a man had been assaulted by two other men and suffered gunshot wounds.

RCMP says the victim was finally able to get out of the home where he was allegedly being held and seek help. A civilian took the victim to safety and emergency services were called.

The victim suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital. RCMP said no further updates on his condition will be provided.

On December 5, investigators determined that the suspects were in a home at Muskoday First Nation. The Saskatchewan RCMP Critical Incident Response Team went to the home and gained entry.

Three men from the house were detained without incident.

The house was turned over to the Royal Prince Albert Mounted Police for execution of a search warrant.

One of the men was released without charge.

Brandon Bear, 24, faces a total of 16 charges including attempted murder with a firearm, forced confinement with a firearm and intentionally firing a firearm.

Patrick Bear, 44, is charged with 14 crimes that also include attempted murder with a firearm, forced confinement with a firearm and intentionally firing a firearm.

Brandon and Patrick made their first court appearances on Tuesday.

Prince Albert RCMP, the Saskatchewan Major Crimes Unit, and the General Investigation and Forensic Identification Services Sections continue to investigate.

Police are searching for two stolen vehicles in connection with this investigation: a gray Dodge Ram 3500, Saskatchewan license plate 835 HVC, and a black Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi, with Saskatchewan license plate 848 KXE.
