The macro Covid test kiosks will stop operating in CDMX due to a reduction in infections


The Government of Mexico City announced this Sunday that before the reduction of coronavirus infections in the capital and the decrease in demand for Covid-19 teststhe local Ministry of Health will withdraw the last six macro kiosks for antigen tests.

“People who need a free Covid-19 detection test can go to any of the 117 health centers where they are applied,” the Mexico City Health Secretariat said in a statement.

The capital dependency explained that Saturday, March 12, was the last day of service of the macro kiosks located in the Francisco de P. Miranda Gymnasium, in the mayor’s office Alvaro Obregon; and the one on the Esplanade of the town hall Venustiano Carranza.

Meanwhile, next Saturday, March 19, will be the last day that the macro kiosks located in the Parque de las Artes Gráficas, in the mayor’s office, offer services. Cuauhtemoc; and the one on the Esplanade of the town hall Iztacalco.

On Saturday, March 26, the macro kiosks on the esplanade of the mayor’s office will stop operating Xochimilco and the one on the esplanade of the town hall Gustavo A. Madero.

Since March 7, the country’s capital and the State of Mexico have turned the Covid-19 epidemiological traffic light green.

Despite the fact that the Government of Mexico City has already allowed the opening of all economic activities, it maintained the recommendation to use face masks.
