The government refuses to grant pardon to Fèlix Millet and Jordi Montull, convicted in the Palau case

The government has refused to grant pardon to former Palau de la Música president Felix Millet and his former number 2 Jordi Montull, both convicted of embezzlement in the musical institution, sources in the Ministry of Justice Europa Press informed.

Millet asked to be pardoned for the Palau de la Música embezzlement case after the Supreme Court upheld the sentence which sentenced him to 9 years and 8 months in prison.

The former president of the institution also requested to suspend his entry into prison until the request for pardon is resolved. However, when the conviction was upheld, the Barcelona court ordered that Millet and the rest of those convicted in the Palau case be sent to jail.
