The Government of Colau refuses to carry out a citizen consultation on the ‘Superilla Barcelona’

He has declined it in the Ecology and Urban Planning Commission, where he has recalled that this initiative promoted by the City Council aims to add 58,000 square meters for pedestrians during this mandate, which ends in May 2023.

Junts’ proposal, which also urged the municipal government not to award the works until knowing the result of said consultation, has not prospered: BComú, PSC and ERC have voted against, while Junts, Pp, Cs and Valents had voted to favour.

Sanz has ensured that ‘Superilla Barcelona’ is endorsed by the citizensand has regretted that the municipal government has “suffered the offensive of very powerful groups” that seek to stop the transformation of the city, according to her.

The councilor of Junts Jordi Martí Galbis has asked the Government of Colau for a “real” consultation and it has made him ugly not to ask the neighbors about what he considers a great city project with a wide capacity for urban transformation.
