‘The Dream of Morpheus’ wakes up on La Palma

Next week will be five months since the end of the eruptive activity at the Cumbre Vieja volcano. Since then, the island of La Palma has tried to recover normality and an economy seriously damaged by that natural disaster that shook the area of Cow’s head for 85 days and caused damage worth one billion euros, according to the latest estimate sent by the Spanish Government to the EU. Another volcano, with a very different sign, constructive, joyful and musical, has been dormant for nine years and may now awaken to join, precisely, the initiatives aimed at the social and economic reactivation of The Palm. So they have proposed Iberian Pressgroup to which this newspaper belongs, and Endesa Music Lovers with the support of Canary Islands in ‘The Great Solidarity Challenge’. The goal is to convince the members of one of the most missed Spanish pop groups in recent years, the trio ‘The Dream of Morpheus’so that they play together again for the benefit of those affected by the Cumbre Vieja volcano.

There are many fans of the Asturcanario group who want to listen again ‘He will never return’, ‘For life’ or ‘With you until the end’ in the voices and the interpretation of Raquel del Rosario, Juan Luis Suarez and David Feito. The confinement already led to a first online meeting of the trio, which put honey on the lips at the prospect of a possible return. Later, the collaboration of Raquel del Rosario with the artist Noan, in a version of one of the band’s greatest hits, earlier this year, fueled the singer’s desire to return to the stage with her companions.

in that weather Prensa Ibérica and Endesa Music Lovers launch ‘El Gran Reto Solidario’, with the support of the Canary Islandss, so that all citizens turn to ‘El Sueño de Morfeo’ and achieve the meeting of the band in a solidarity concert for the reconstruction of La Palmaan island whose beauty has survived the volcano but needs everyone’s help to shine in all its splendor.

A “dream” of hits since 2003

‘El Sueño de Morfeo’ is a Spanish pop-rock group formed in Asturias in 2003 by Raquel del Rosario, Juan Luis Suarez and David Feito. With six studio albums, 15 singles and more than 20 collaborations with other artists, after representing Spain in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘Contigo hasta el final’, the band decided to take a break, without ever dissolving the trio, to dedicate themselves to other professional and personal adventures. Since then, they have not been seen playing together again, except for a single telematic joint musical collaboration during the first confinement.
