“We all thought it was April Fool’s Day because Québec solidaire had announced that all of its deputies were already representing themselves. It was not in the plans,” said the leader of the Conservative Party of Quebec, Éric Duhaime, in an interview with the Newspaper.

The MP for Taschereau shared the news about her departure in a video on Facebook on Friday evening. The information was confirmed by official party sources.

She expressed her desire to return to being an activist “in the streets” and to rediscover the artistic milieu, something she was doing before her election.

Putting the decision into perspective, Mr. Duhaime remarks that she had been “less involved” in recent months on the issues of the tramway and the third link in the debates at the National Assembly.
