Tequila and equipales will enter the Qatar market: Sedeco

Guadalajara, Jal. Tequila and Equipales, two traditional and representative products of Jalisco and Mexico, will be present in the market of Qatar, as a result of the commercial mission carried out by businessmen and Jalisco authorities in that country.

The companies Imperial Equipments and Abandoned Tequila participating in the mission, achieved negotiations with restaurant chains in the Persian Gulf and with global hotel chains, according to the Secretary of Economic Development (Sedeco) of Jalisco.



The tequila house organized a tasting at the St. Regis hotel in Doha in which the ambassadors of Germany, Canada and Switzerland in Qatar participated, as well as managers of operations of the Sheraton group and other managers of hotel chains in the region, as well like three chefs from Mexican restaurants in the Qatari capital.

Today a meeting was held with the Qatar Distribution Company, which is the company that regulates all aspects of alcohol in the country, if it is not through them you cannot enter that product here, then the one that has generated this approach was very productive ”, said the director of the tequila company, Fernanda Córdoba.

Meanwhile, for the export of equipment, there was an approach with the hotel division of a Holding that has between six and eight restaurant chains in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Dubai and Abu Dhabi that could be interested in acquiring this traditional furniture, said Luis González González, sales manager from Equipales Imperial.

“Our furniture has received very good acceptance because it has great acceptance with products such as wood and beef leather with which they are made,” added the businessman.

Twenty-two Jalisco companies of various lines participate in the trade mission, as well as representatives of the Council of Industrial Chambers of Jalisco (CCIJ) and Sedeco officials.
