The Generalitat of Catalunya has launched a stabilization process to consolidate 46,828 places currently occupied by interims. The objective of the Catalan Executive is to comply with the new law to reduce the temporality in the administration and for this it has agreed with the unions an extraordinary public offer of employment and designed especially for teachers, health and administrative. Before the end of May, the Generalitat will publish the details of the bodies and organizations in which it will offer those almost 47,000 places, although it has already advanced the sectors among which there will be the greatest volume of jobs. To these must be added the calls from the different town councils and the four Catalan councils.
Institutes, schools, public nurseries and the education sector In general, it is where the Generalitat has located a greater volume of interns who should have a permanent position. According to data provided by the Catalan administration, the public offer will include a total of 27,433 seats of teachers and staff of the Department of Education. When will the dates of these exams be known? The days and details of the offer are not yet defined and will be announced in the coming weeks.
The second corps with the largest number of personnel to stabilize is that of the administrative of the Generalitat, mainly from the departments of the Government. A total of 11,747 seats they will be announced over the coming months and the details by bodies and institutions will be announced in the coming weeks. And the third large quota will be the sanitary of the Catalan Institute of Health (ICS), where the Government has agreed to convene 7,648 seats for stabilization.

With this extraordinary public job offer -and which is not expected to be repeated at these levels-, the Government intends to stabilize eight out of 10 positions currently occupied by a public worker with a temporary contract and effectively reduce the eventuality in the administration by 8% before 2025.
There will be two access routes to these 46,828 places: either the merit contest -which does not include an exam-, or the contest-opposition -which yes it contemplates-. The detail of which places will be advertised one way and which ones the other is not yet definitive, but the Generalitat did agree with the unions that 27,584 seats will be convened by merit contest and the other 19,244 seats will be available for the contest-opposition.
