Neighbors on edge after daylight shooting

Some nearby residents were shocked and appalled by the shooting on Tuesday.

One neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said the fact that a young teen was shot in the townhouse complex had left many on edge.

“It’s scary. We don’t know what happened in the area,” he said. “We have never seen [anything like this].”

The man told CityNews he had lived in the neighborhood for several years. I have never thought I would experience something like this.

“We [have lived] in the area, a long time, three or four years,” he said. “Never seen [anything] like this. This area is safe.”

One woman said she lived a few houses down from where the shooting occurred.

“We just got back from here. I can’t believe what happened here… We told our kids, and now they’re coming home.”

Only one victim was injured in Tuesday’s brazen shooting.
