Tecumseh town council approved pay hikes for themselves and the town’s non-unionized staff.

Mayor Gary McNamara will receive a two per cent salary increase, Deputy Mayor Joe Bachetti is getting a 0.5 per cent increase the five councilors will each receive a one per cent increase. Non-unionized town staff will also receive a two per cent salary increase as of Jan. 1, 2022.
Council approved the pay hikes in accordance with the town’s Compensation and Salary Administration Policy and the 2019 Council Salary Review.
According to the last published information on salaries, McNamara was paid $46,000 in 2020, Bachetti received $36,266 and councilors received $28,446.
Statements of remuneration for 2021 will be published March 30.
