Norfolk County OPP reports a theft of proportions by Willy Wonka after a transport truck and trailer full of chocolate were stolen over the weekend.

On Monday, shortly after 3 p.m., police say they received a call that a transport truck and trailer filled with chocolate were stolen from a business on Vittoria Road, Charlotteville in Norfolk County.

The trailer was filled with $ 100,000 worth of Hershey and Ferrero Rocher chocolate.

Police say the thieves were found to have taken the truck from the business on Saturday.

Investigators are in the process of reviewing video surveillance footage in an attempt to identify those responsible.

Since then, the transport truck has been located in the Peel region, but police say the trailer and the chocolate are still pending.

Anyone with information about the trailer full of lost candy should contact the Norfolk County OPP.
