SUTERM legitimizes collective bargaining agreement

The Unique Union of Electrical Workers of the Mexican Republic (SUTERM) legitimized its collective bargaining agreement, on December 1, to comply with the new rules established by the Federal Labor Law and the T-MEC, I comply smoothly with this obligation.

After noting that participation in this process, which for the first time considered the vote of workers directly, freely and secretly, SUTERM said that there was a participation of 90.20% of workers.

Thus, Victor Fuentes, the union leader, with more than 16 years at the helm of the union organization, and whose term ends until 2025, said that the legitimation day “confirms once again that we are a vanguard, democratic and inclusive union, since said The process was held in an orderly manner, in strict compliance with the Law and guaranteeing our members the exercise of personal, free, secret, agile, safe and peaceful vote ”.

Fuentes said that they await the official determination of the Federal Center for Labor Conciliation and Registration, and stated that the collective bargaining agreement will continue in force, “my most sincere congratulations to all the unionized personnel who exercised the right to vote at the polls; at Electoral Auxiliary Commissions for the Legitimation, who were the union representatives in charge of ensuring the security and secrecy of the vote ”.

It should be noted that the CFCRL did not issue a statement regarding the process that was carried out in CFE, nor did he add the minute by minute of the electoral process as he has done in other legitimations, as was the case of General Motors.
