Suspect sought after man choked, robbed at Pioneer Village TTC

Police are on the hunt for a suspect following a violent robbery at the Pioneer Village TTC station last week.

Toronto Police were called on Tuesday, April 12 at about 9:15 pm to a robbery at the TTC station — located in North York on the Toronto-Vaughan border.

The victim was aboard a northbound TTC train and when the train arrived at Pioneer Village, he exited and was followed by the suspect.

Once on the platform, police say the suspect grabbed the victim from behind in a chokehold and choked him until he lost consciousness.

Police say the suspect removed the victim’s belongings and exited the station.

The suspect is described as a man, wearing a black North Face jacket and black pants.

Images of the suspect have been released.
