On Thursday, the police received a call from a relative of Ava Burton, 58, and her mother Tatilda Noble, 85, asking an officer to verify his well-being at your home on Sceptor Pl. – near Dryden Blvd. and Garrard Rd.

In the house, the police found evidence that led them to consider the disappearance of the women suspicious. Police did not provide further details.

“They are still missing and we are still holding the scene (at the house),” said Acting Sgt. George Tudos said Monday.

“Forensics are on the scene and are gathering evidence.”

Rob Lewicki lives just a few doors down from the women’s house and says they are quiet and pleasant people who keep themselves alone.

“I only know them to say hello. They lived here for about four years, ”Lewicki said.
