It is the turn of Steven Guilbeault, Canadian Minister of the Environment, to have received a positive diagnosis for COVID-19 on Thursday.
“Yesterday I tested positive for #COVID19 and am isolating with my assigned family members at home,” he tweeted Thursday morning.
“My symptoms are very mild, which shows the importance of being triply vaccinated. Thank you to the medical professionals who are working hard to fight this wave of Omicron.”
The day before, Governor General Mary Simon revealed that she had also received a positive diagnosis for the coronavirus.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tested positive at the end of January, as did two of his children.
