Sportsnet’s Shawn McKenzie reportedly arrested at Nashville bar

Sportsnet reporter Shawn McKenzie was reportedly arrested on Saturday morning outside a bar in Nashville, Tenn.

According to local court files obtained by news outlet Scoop Nashville, the hockey expert was “arguing with staff” and “acting rudely” outside Jason Aldean’s Kitchen and Rooftop Bar.

Scoop Nashville reported that officers found McKenzie to be “intoxicated and verbally argumentative.” McKenzie was allegedly “no longer welcome” in the establishment and, after arguing with officers, left the premises, the report said.

“Several minutes later, McKenzie returned to the bar and began to argue with staff once again, at which point he was handcuffed and taken into custody, charged with public intoxication and criminal trespass,” said the report.

McKenzie was released on a $200 (US) bail and is scheduled to appear in court on July 1, according to the report.
