At least 2,000 people have demonstrated this Saturday afternoon in Barcelona against the use of the covid passport, which certifies the vaccination and is mandatory to access the interior of bars, restaurants, gyms, residences and nightlife venues in Catalonia.

The protesters left Plaza Universitat around 6 p.m. and, after 7 p.m., they went to Plaza Urquinaona with banners of ‘Passaport sanitari, Está totalitari’ (‘Health passport, totalitarian state’), and with illustrations of the Star of David, an emblem of Judaism. They have also shouted ‘Freedom’ and chanted slogans such as ‘One dose is thrombosis’, among others.
The protest is held two days after the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) authorized the extension requested by the Government to maintain for 14 days, until the gates of Christmas, the requirement of the “covid passport” to access bars, restaurants, gyms and nursing homes, as well as nightlife.
