Snowmobilers charged with trespassing in LaSalle Back to video

Police on Saturday received a complaint about several snowmobiles on farmland near Malden Road. Officers responded and located seven individuals.

Police issued four provincial offense notices and nine cautions.

Police ask that residents respect private property, including farm fields and Essex Terminal Railway tracks. The Town of LaSalle does not permit all-terrain vehicles, off-road vehicles, or snowmobiles on town-owned lands, trails, sidewalks or roadways.

LaSalle police continue to receive complaints from residents and farmers about trespassers and are “taking enforcement action against individuals who ignore or flout our repeated requests to refrain from trespassing on these properties,” police said on Wednesday.

“Just because you may have done so in the past with no issues does not mean that it is OK.”
