SKY will take the best German football to Mexico for four more years

Bundesliga lovers in Mexico and Central America have very good news. This morning, through a statement, SKY and the German league made official the extension of their exclusivity bond for four more years starting this summer, where the popular pay TV system will broadcast all Bundesliga matches, the Bundesliga 2, the Super Cup and the relegation play-offs.

This agreement reinforces SKY’s solid sports offer, which includes, among other major competitions, the Spanish League, while representing an unrivaled alliance for the Bundesliga, in terms of the exposure of its tournaments and the increase in its fan base in Mexico and Central America.

The International Bundesliga has data that indicates that Mexico, despite not having national players competing in Germany, is the fastest growing European league in terms of fans, while the country ranks as the third most important market internationally .

Participating in the signing of the agreement were Juan Carlos Muñoz, director of SKY Programming, Robert Klein, general director of the Bundesliga International, and former Mexican national team player and German soccer legend Pável Pardo, as witness of honor.
