Six and a half years in prison does not prevent him from denigrating his daughter

Even after being reprimanded by the judge, who sentenced him to a six-and-a-half-year sentence, a 79-year-old father continued to denigrate his daughter who accused him of incest for a sexual assault at the tip of a rifle in 1978.

At the time, the 14-year-old suffered a full-blown sexual assault by her father, who was struggling with serious drinking problems, as she returned from a night out with friends.

When she arrived home, the accused proceeded to undress her and take her to the bathroom, placing his .38 caliber gun, which he regularly wore at his belt, on the sink to force her to have full sex with him.

Already a victim of sexual contact from her father in the past, the teenager decided to go to the DPJ the same evening to denounce her attacker, after this complete aggression. Despite a complaint, no charges will be filed at this time. It was not until 2018 that the victim, in his 50s, made a new complaint leading to the guilt of the man, now 79 years old.

The defendant was found guilty of two full assaults on his daughter, a second assault having taken place during a visit for a dinner party where her father repeated the offence.

“On call”

At the time of the pronouncement of the sentence of six and a half years against the man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the victim, the accused wanted to speak before the judge to slander his daughter.

“I will find a lawyer who will take me to appeal. Half of what she said is made up,” the man said, blaming his daughter for continuing to live with him.

It was enough for Judge Johanne Roy to lecture the accused. “That argument won’t go far, sir, and proves nothing,” she replied.

“These children still feel love for their parents because we only have a father and a mother,” she added in a well-felt presentation. Before confirming a sentence of six and a half years, she recalled that this kind of crime “always causes incredible damage to children”.

Stubborn, the septuagenarian did not seem to have heard the explanations of the judge, because the latter continued to denigrate his daughter while the constables handcuffed him. “I’m going to appeal,” he ruminated, even if the deadline for appealing his guilt has already expired.
