Simplification of procedures allowed savings of more than 1,346 million pesos to the CDMX government

Due to the process of simplification and digitalization of procedures in Mexico City, more than 1,346 million pesos have been saved, reported the Digital Agency for Public Innovation (ADIP).

The agency said that by having enabled digital windows to carry out procedures and services, such as construction and mobility, regulatory savings were generated.

As an example, he said, for the renewal process of the Circulation Card the savings were 745.9 million pesos, while for the renewal of the Type A Driving License the figure was 29.1 million pesos.

Also, by eliminating the updating of the Birth Certificate as a requirement, 11.1 million pesos were saved, while, by simplifying and digitizing the access to Unemployment Insurance, 42.4 million pesos were saved.

Due to the simplification and digitization of the Type B and C Construction manifestation Registry, through the Single Window for Construction, the amount of 423 million pesos was saved, while the Commercial Establishments and Rapid Opening of Companies window were 58.2 millions of pesos; and due to the digitization of Internal Civil Protection programs, the amount rose to 37 million pesos.

The FAT He recalled that the simplification of procedures began in 2019, as part of the digital government plan. This project seeks to reduce population agglomerations, as well as improve waiting times and prevent acts of corruption.

“The digital transition of face-to-face procedures allows citizens access to information, saving time to move, as well as saving their economy. The simplification of procedures and services allows reducing processes, costs, requirements, response times and access to information, eliminating intermediaries ”, he deepened.

“Therefore, digital government helps reduce the incidence of acts of corruption, speed up government procedures and provide a better user experience,” added the agency.

In that vein, he explained that from 2019 to 2021 they were reduced from 1,998 to 966 procedures and services.

Similarly, resolution times for administrative processes have been reduced; “Today it is possible to open a business in just 15 minutes from your cell phone.”

The ADIP reported that for this year updates and new electronic alternatives were made in procedures such as the Endorsement of the Circulation Card, Renewal of the Type A License, and the Certificate of No Background.
