A shooting incident early Friday sent a man to a hospital and forced the temporary closure of eastbound Highway 40 near the Galeries d’Anjou shopping centre.
The Sûreté du Québec said their officers were dispatched to the scene around 2:45 am after reports of gunfire were made to 911. Police found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
An SQ spokesperson said the victim’s wounds are not life threatening.
A crime scene set up at the site resulted in the eastbound lanes of the highway being closed until 7 am
No arrests had been reported Friday morning and the investigation is continuing.
