Segob authorizes the AIFA for international transit of people


The Secretary of the Interior (Segob) published this Friday the agreement by which “it is established as a destination for the international transit of people to the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA)”.

After this declaration, there is no legal complication for the Venezuelan Consortium of Aeronautical Industries and Air Services (Conviasa) to arrive at the new terminal on March 21, which will be the first international flight leaving Caracas. , according to the airline.

The legal argument for the agency in charge of Adam Augusto Lopez published the agreement is that it has the exclusive power to set the places destined for the international transit of people by land, sea and air, and that the concessionaires or permit holders that operate or manage said places, will be obliged to make available to the Migration’s national institute (INM) the necessary facilities for the adequate performance of its functions.
