Secretary of Security confirms the arrest of an alleged operator of Guerreros Unidos


The undersecretary of Federal Public Security, Ricardo Mejía Berdeja, informed the arrest of Salvador “N”presumed operator of the criminal organization “United Warriors”, and who is linked by the authorities with the Ayotzinapa case.

During the press conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the undersecretary indicated that Savior “N” was arrested in Morelos on May 3 through intelligence actions.

Mejía identified him as an alleged operator of the criminal group “United Warriors”, and who allegedly led the armed wing called “Los Peques” of that same criminal organization.

He had an arrest warrant for organized crime and forced disappearance. The National Intelligence Center identified him in kidnapping and extortion activities against merchants and tenants in Iguala, Guerrero.

Other arrests

During his presentation, Ricardo Mejía recalled other arrests that have been made by federal authorities in recent days, including Ricardo Alonso “N”, alias “Coma Boby Larios”, an alleged criminal who would have participated in the murder of 9 members of the families LeBaron, Langford-Miller, which occurred in November 2019 in Bavispe, Sonora.

He also highlighted the arrest of Francisco Javier ‘N’ alias “El Señorón”, “El Colombiano”, “El XL”, the main generator of violence in the state of Morelos and who was arrested in an operation by the Secretary of the Navy, and against who are about to execute arrest warrants for homicide and extortion.

“In addition to all the criminal events in which this subject was involved, he was the one behind that event in La Barona, in Cuernavaca, where eight people were murdered at a wake, which was an event that occurred in September 2020” Mejia explained.

Likewise, the location of two of the main operators in the Jalisco New Generation Cartel: Moisés “G” and Saúl Alejandro, alias “El Chopa”, the latter deceased during the capture procedure.

Meanwhile, regarding the follow-up for the multiple crime that occurred in San José de Gracia in Michoacán, he reported that between May 2 and 4, eight people were arrested with weapons, cartridges and tactical vests. He asserted that the capture operations of the perpetrators of the crime continue.

Crimes against journalists

In the case of murders and attacks against journalists, Undersecretary Mejía indicated regarding the April 28 kidnapping of communicator Esteban Cruz Rosas, general director of the indigenous radio station of Ocumicho, in Michoacán, that after an operation coordinated by the prosecutor’s office of Michoacán, the Ministry of Public Security and Sedena, was located alive, well and work is being done to capture the captors.

Mejía asserted that there are 19 detainees or wanted and 16 linked to criminal proceedings for murders of journalists that occurred this year.

“We are in the stage of complementary investigation by the Public Ministry in all these cases, different elements continue to be collected to strengthen criminal proceedings, that there is no impunity and that there is an important punishment for all these perpetrators,” he said.
