A 35-year-old man from the George Gordon First Nation is charged with 18 offenses in connection with a firearms dismissal investigation.
On December 25, 2021, Punnichy RCMP received a report of a firearm discharge at a home on the George Gordon First Nation north of Regina.

Police say the investigation, which was launched on the evening of December 24, 2021, involved a man entering the residence, firing a firearm and demanding money from a resident.
“He then assaulted another occupant, who sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening injuries,” police said. “The man then left the residence.”
The Punnichy RCMP stated that on December 29, they received a report that the outside of the house had been damaged by the man.
On January 13, after the incidents were investigated, the RCMP charged Joshua Tyler Bitternose with several offenses, including two counts of intentionally firing a firearm and eight counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition while prohibited.

A warrant has been issued for Bitternose’s arrest and Punnichy RCMP is actively trying to track him down and arrest him.
Police say Bitternose is described as about six feet tall and 250 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Police say he has ties to the George Gordon First Nation and Regina.
RCMP warns anyone who sees him not to approach him.
