The 53rd Annual Windsor Santa Claus Parade will take place this Saturday, starting at 5:45 pm

Running along the route of the East Canada Day parade from Wyandotte Street, west of Devonshire Road to Aylmer Avenue, there will be bands and other entertainment, a variety of floats and parade tickets from local businesses, as well as the appearance of Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the reindeer.

The parade is presented by Wyandotte Town BIA Center. Last year, due to COVID-19, a drive-thru format was organized at St. Clair College.

New this year, Windsor Parade Corporation introduces its Island of Misfit Toys floats with some classic characters like Charlie in the Box. The float is dedicated to volunteer Clayton Massender, who died last year.

This is the second of the corporation’s three parade events planned for this holiday season. Amherstburg hosted Santa Claus at its parade last week, and residents can watch the Essex BIA parade next week.
