Sandy Bay, Sask. Charged With Second Degree Murder After Suspicious Death | The Canadian News

A 23-year-old man has been charged with second degree murder in a suspicious death investigation in Sandy Bay, Sask.

Sandy Bay is located approximately 580 kilometers northeast of Saskatoon.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m. Monday, Sandy Bay RCMP responded to a report of a seriously injured man taken to the local health clinic.

The victim, identified as Nickison Bear, died shortly thereafter.

Nicholas David Paul Bear has been charged in connection with Nickison’s death.

The RCMP did not release information on whether the victim and the defendant are related or not.

Nicholas appeared at Prince Albert’s provincial court by phone at 9:30 am on Wednesday.
