The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is working with BorderPass to make the study permit process easier for international students with a new partnership.
This partnership will allow new SAIT international students to access a trusted online platform that will offer complementary services to those provided by the SAIT International Centre.
The primary goal of this partnership is to support international students from the moment they arrive in Canada until after they graduate from SAIT.
In other words, this partnership will facilitate a platform that helps students throughout their journey to SAIT and beyond, from the moment they receive their acceptance letter to seeking employment after graduation.
Using tools and resources designed to help track study permit progress, assist with visa applications, and provide access to early settlement planning tools, new international students will receive access to a variety of helpful BorderPass services while are actively enrolled in SAIT.
Specifically, BorderPass services that students enrolled at SAIT can benefit from include:
- Preparation, review and submission services for study permit applications through BorderPass with the support of Canadian immigration lawyers;
- Key date notifications, continuous monitoring and management of visas and immigration documentation in the BorderPass Document Vault to help ensure compliance;
- Access to professional legal immigration experts, including one-on-one consultations and email/chat support with fast response times;
- Guidance, advice and visibility on permanent residence pathways and relevant employment outcomes through the platform; and
- Essential services for newcomers, including social security number registration, high-level tax advice and additional support through a network of trusted providers.
