Saint John Police Officer Charged With Forging Police Report – New Brunswick | The Canadian News

A Saint John Police officer was charged with providing a false report during an investigation.

In a statement, the New Brunswick Mounted Police said they received a complaint from the Public Prosecutor’s Office about the officer’s actions during an investigation on April 17 and 18 in Saint John.

The statement did not say what the nature of the investigation was and the RCMP could not be immediately reached for comment.

Sergeant. David Kimball of Quispamsis, NB was charged with falsifying a police report, obstruction of justice by providing a false report, and breach of trust in connection with his office duties.

The charges were filed in Saint John Provincial Court on Monday and a subpoena was issued to the defendant to appear on December 8.

The RCMP says the investigation is continuing.

Saint John Police could not immediately be reached for comment Monday afternoon.
