In February, reports emerged that former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, once celebrated for his response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks but now a disgraced perpetrator of the bogus conspiracy theory that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged,” will appear in the current season of “The Masked Singer.”
Giuliani’s participation reportedly prompted panelists Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke to walk off stage in protest.
On Wednesday’s episode, viewers were able to see how the alleged incident unfolded, or at least, an edited version of the events.

The show featured this season’s final group of five contestants: Giuliani’s Jack in the Box, The Prince, Space Bunny, Baby Mammoth and Queen Cobra.
When it was Jack in the Box’s turn to perform, he came out of his box when the pyrotechnics exploded. Thicke and Jeong loved it (at least for the time being).
After hearing the contestant’s voice, some in the crowd looked puzzled. Giuliani didn’t sing George Thorogood and the Destroyers’ “Bad To The Bone” as much as he did speaking and singing. The 77-year-old kept movement to a minimum, but still seemed to impress Thicke, who praised his performance: “You can’t get any meaner than that. That’s the worst.”
His voice certainly wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t “the baddest,” at least the way Thicke put it.
Following the elimination of Jack in the Box, the panel surmised that the character could be actor Joe Pesci or Robert Duvall, businessman Y Elon Musk Twitter Finderor possibly “Today’s” weather anchor Al Roker.

Later nick cannon wrestled in the Jack in the Box mask, the host excitedly announced the identity of the contestant. The revelation surprised the audience and the judges.
“Robert Duwell?” Scherzinger asked Jeong. “No, that’s not Robert Duvall,” she informed her fellow panelist, as her face fell. A beaming McCarthy declared that she “had no idea!”
“Wow! This is definitely something I never would have imagined,” Thicke said, clearly surprised.
Cannon articulated the palpable shock of everyone in the room. “Well, Mr. Giuliani, with all the controversy surrounding you right now, I think it’s surprising to all of us that you’re here on ‘The Masked Singer.’ “
“Me too,” Giuliani replied.
He explained that his new granddaughter, Grace, motivated him to do the show and was greeted by sympathetic “Awws” from the audience.

“I want (Grace) to know that you have to try everything,” Giuliani added. “Even things that are completely different from you and unlikely. I couldn’t think of anything more different from me and unlikely than this. And I enjoy the show. I’ve done it for years. And it seemed like it would be fun, and I don’t.” We’re not going to have much fun.”
Jeong’s fellow panelists didn’t seem all that upset about Giulianithe appearance of
Scherzinger asked for more information about a detail in his track package. Thicke applauded the contestant. McCarthy threw his hands in the air and yelled for GiulianiJeong’s farewell performance, but Jeong was noticeably upset.
“I’m done,” he said before walking off stage. McCarthy and Scherzinger danced while Giuliani performed. (Thicke was off camera, so it’s unclear if she also left the stage.)
