Rosario Robles calls a demonstration to demand her freedom

From the Santa Martha Acatitla prison, the former head of Sedesol and Sedatu, Rosario Robles Berlanga, called for a social demonstration to demand their freedom and that of women imprisoned unfairly.

“I am calling you to demand that justice be done, because if it is revenge, it is not justice; because if the institutions of the Republic are used for personal revenge, for personal revenge, we are generating a very serious setback in our country, ”said the former official.

In an audio posted on his social networks, Robles Berlanga highlighted that his relatives will carry out a day of “peaceful civil resistance”, which includes mobilizations at the headquarters of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) and outside the National Palace.

“I invite you to join the peaceful civil resistance started today by my family, my daughter Mariana Moguel, my friends, to demand justice, my freedom and that of many people who are unjustly imprisoned,” said Rosario Robles.

On October 20, Judge Ganther Alejandro Villar Ceballos of the South Prison ordered to keep the former head of Sedesol and Sedatu in prison, considering that a high risk of flight prevails.

The former official is implicated by the FGR in the so-called “Master Scam”, an operation that involved the irregular signing -during her tenure- of 27 agreements with public universities that caused patrimonial damage of 5,073 million pesos. Due to this situation, the prosecution requested 21 years in prison against him.
