All proceeds from the two-day event, which will culminate with an All-Star Game at LaSalle’s Vollmer Sports Complex at 6:30 pm Friday, will go to the Cancer Research Collaboration Fund in partnership with the Windsor Essex Community Foundation.

To be eligible to be drafted to play in the game, prospective local players had to raise a minimum of $500.

This year’s game will feature former NHLers Adam Graves, Al Iafrate, Mike Krushelnyski, Marty Turco, Nik Antropov, Paul Coffey, Tim Taylor, Derian Hatcher, Michael Leighton, Aaron Ward, Rick Vaive, Dan Daoust and longtime US national women’s team member Megan Bozek.

“We have been waiting three long years for this event and I couldn’t be happier with how the community has stepped up to support cancer research,” said event organizer Jeff Casey. “We have far exceeded our 2019 total and we can’t wait to share our total.”

Tickets for the game are $20 and can be purchased at the door or online at playforacure.ca/event/all-star-game.
