Rod Stewart’s Edmonton concert postponed until 2023

Most of the Canadian stops on his tour this summer have been quietly postponed until next year. There was no public statement of the change, but ticketholders received a notification Wednesday from Ticketmaster indicating the event has been rescheduled.

Stewart’s website has no explanation but now shows Edmonton’s date at Rogers Place as Aug. 15, 2023, instead of the original date of Sept. 17, 2022.

Stewart’s website says “production delays” meant six June shows (Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix and Denver) at the start of the North American tour had to be rescheduled to 2023. “While this delays the tour’s start, it also opened up new routing in 2023 including a coast-to-coast Canadian tour,” states a notice on Stewart’s website.

Tickets will remain valid for the 2023 concerts but those wishing a refund have to request one through a link in the email by June 17, 2022. Refunds are only accepted if the original ticket was purchased through Ticketmaster.

The Rod Stewart concert has Cheap Trick as the opening band.
